It did an acceptable job except that it was way too slow in its operation for me. After reading "Flour Power" by Marleeta F. Basey, as well as doing a lot of research on the internet, I decided to purchase two grain mills: the KoMo Duett 100 and also the Retsel MilRite Special with both stone and steel wheels.
I did bid on a new OLD stock Retsel on ebay but only succeeded in doubling the price for someone who truly wanted it. The Restel website is offputting and the need to "special order" the Milrite with steel plates seems archaic. But I like the Retsel and might get a used one when one comes available.

Compared to a highspeed impact mill such as I''ve been using these last ten years it is rather slow in output, but it can run for an hour and not get hot and isn''t so loud that I can''t hear myself think. Made my second batch of bread with flour I milled with it .
Jan 10, 2019· I have a Retsel milrite, bought it used off of ebay. It is great! Is is electric, but can be made into a manual if needed. It is easy enough that my 10 year old grinds our flour for us. (after training by me of course). Really helps out a lot! It is worth buying it! Also, it is made in USA for like the last 40 years or so! Reply
