I am in the preliminary stage of decided weather or not I REALLY want to invest the time and money into it but so far it looks like it would be a fun project.

While a CNC mill/drill is better than no CNC mill at all, I would convert an old mill that was originally CNC in the first place. Do a search on Bridgeport retrofit. Jim
